James Kerr

Chiropractor

Following graduation, James has worked in private practices in North West Sydney and Sydney CBD. He has also been a member of the Chiropractic Department at Macquarie University as a Chiropractic skills tutor.

James’ goal as a Chiropractor is to help restore and optimise musculoskeletal health and function to the spine and peripheral joints. James takes a functional and wholistic approach to Chiropractic.

He has a strong focus on exercise and functional movement when it comes to management of his patient’s conditions. James not only wants to reduce pain, but he also wants to understand why you developed pain in the first place, as well as educating and implementing management strategies to help you reduce the chance of recurrent issues in the future.

James utilises a number of different treatment and management techniques that are specific to each patients needs and goals, these include:

  • Joint manipulation (Diversified) and mobilisation
  • Massage and myofascial release techniques
  • Dry needling
  • Cupping therapy
  • Exercise rehabilitation and programming
  • Clinical Pilates
 

Aside from Chiropractic, James is trained in Clinical Pilates and personal training. James has a strong passion for sports and fitness.

He loves soccer, cricket, rugby, mountain biking, snowboarding, running, swimming, pilates, yoga, and gym training. James has competed at a high level in cricket and soccer, which has helped give him understanding and perspective of sports specific exercise and rehabilitation, as well as injury management.
