Chiropractors are Allied Health professionals that specialise in the treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions and movement dysfunctions.

We use a combination of treatment techniques to address these issues including:
  • Joint manipulation and mobilisation
  • Muscle release techniques
  • Dry needling
  • Cupping
  • Exercise rehabilitation
  • Clinical pilates

In your first appointment, we will conduct a detailed historical examination to gather as much information as possible about you and your presenting issue.

We will then take you through a thorough physical assessment to help further understand what is happening, how your body moves and diagnose your injury. This helps us to develop a treatment and management plan tailored to you and your body.

We will then spend the remainder of the appointment treating your issue.

The initial appointment will usually take 45 minutes.

No, you don’t have to! Adjustments (“cracking”) are not for everyone! This is not the only way we treat. We use many different treatment methods, which are very effective for many different issues and we will determine what will work best for your body. Our treatment methods are not a “one size fits all” approach. We have many patients who we don’t adjust for the following reasons:

  • They don’t like it
  • It doesn’t suit their body type
  • It is not the best treatment method for their issue
  • It is not safe for that individual or type of injury

In most cases people report having an adjustment as a relaxing experience, and whatever technique chosen, your Chiropractor uses skill, not force or strength, to conduct an adjustment.

As with most manual therapies, it is natural to feel some tenderness and achiness after treatment and possibly the next day. This will quickly pass and you should feel improvement in your symptoms after!
